BOO!!! 20% OFF Halloween

The only way we could love this "Welcome" sign any more is if it was spelled "Velcome" and pronounced with a dracula induced transylvanian accent.  You definitely won't scare anyone off with this halloween decor but we've got plenty of goolish, creepy, crawling, bone-chilling creatures in the shop for those of you who relish in the darker side of halloween.  We didn't want to ruin the scary surprises we have in store for you when you stop in to check it out.

Spiders, rats, bones "OH MY!"
Glittered owls and this adorable broom that dances and sings a witches tune are just one of many haunted decor on display.

Sneak peak of the scary side...  Stop in and check it out....
If you dare.  Muahahaha haaaaaaaa.....

Dayna & Brent

Sometimes patience isn't a virtue.  We couldn't wait!  We just had to share these pictures (taken with an iPhone!).  Hey, don't judge, we're no Laurie Marie, but our flowers say it all.  And with this wedding, well, were saying a lot.  Giant baby's breath poofs, lace, crystal brooches and all.  And boy was it worth it.  The brides bouquet was a stunning combination of juliet garden roses, hydrangea, handmade fabric flowers and vintage brooches.

Just to get this started we lined the aisle at Wild Eagle Lodge in Eagle River with petals and those amazing baby's breath poofs set atop our silver stands. A quaint and romantic ceremony structure was set up and draped with fabric by the ever talented Alliey from Sash & Bow.
Once inside the beautifully draped tent our centerpeices adorned every table starting with a sweet and lush arrangement in a cube filled with river rocks, hydrangea, roses, stock and queen anne's lace.  Another set of tables featured a tall glass vase uniquely covered with lace and ribbon and topped with a lavish arrangement of fresh flowers and draping smilax.

And these fun baby's breath arrangements filled a third of the tables creating a very fun, vintage chic feel to the whole room.

And there they are again, this time adorning the head table and accented by one of our new crystal chandeliers.  The cake boasted five delicious tiers of frosted yumminess from Monzu Bistro packed with rows and rows of fresh hydrangea blooms.  Not a detail was missed.

Animal Kingdom

It's been an animal kingdom around here this week.  With the newest addition to the buds n bloom design team, Petal, a 1 pound miniature chihuahua and these precious ceramic vessels we are feeling the sweet, cuddly animal love!
Ok, but seriously, can we just talk about that hippo with a mound of dried billy balls!? Seriously.  Although we are getting ready for another big weekend of beautiful wedding work to prepare for we just had to stop and share these sweet ceramic animal creations on the design floor.  So adorable!  The permanent dried botanicals inside each vase are so cute!  These guys are just waiting to make the perfect playful adornment to some lucky baby's nursery.

A Verdant Summer

Now that July sent us some much needed rain everything outside is looking a lot more like the verdant summers that Wisconsin is used to.  When we got in a large shipment of beautiful green ferns and aftrican violets it only seemed appropriate.  The lush greenery and vibrant hues make us feel summery and delighted.  If you are in need of something to brighten up your day or someone elses give us a call.  We can't wait to get our hands dirty and make a lovely summer planting for you.

Ashley & Kane

What a better place to have a beautiful Memorial Day wedding than at Heritage Hill, Green Bay's very own State Historical Park.  Ashley and her new hubby, Kane, were a joy to work with, as well as all her bridesmaids who were so sweet they even tried lending a hand in setting up some of the ceremony flowers.  Thanks girls, but leave the flower stained fingers to us.  Keep those manicures looking good while carrying your lovely, textured and earthy bouquets.
The bridesmaids carried Blue Curiosa Roses, scabiosa, stock, hydrangea, dusty miller, seeded eucalyptus and eucalyptus pods and aubergine dianthus (shhhh, thats the fancy name for carnations).  The bridal bouquet featured a more simple mix of hydrangea, garden roses, peonies, freesia and fragrant gardenia blooms wrapped in heirloom hankies.  Thanks to the punctual and hella talented peeps at Blue Dandelion Photography out of Madison we get these lovely pictures with an immediate sense of satisfaction.  Lucky for us... and for you.  Enjoy and stay awhile.

Textured boutonnieres featured freesia, scabiosa pods, seeded eucalyptus and dusty miller.

What's another word for textured loveliness?   Mmmmm.... Pretty?  Ok.

Half of the centerpieces featured our black manzanita trees adorned with real crystal drops, hanging votives and hanging market bottles with aubergine carnations and stock.  And look at that cake!

Courtney & Matt

When we think back on the stunning wedding of Courtney and Matt certain phrases come to mind like, "Life is in the details" and "It's the little things in life".  In this case all the little things certainly added up into one BIG impact.  No detail was missed.  From lemon filled vases topped with a lush posie of hydrangea curly willow and oncidium orchids. Topiaries of echeveria, billy balls, moss and lemoncello spray roses.  Hand etched votives by the mother of the bride.  The bridal bouquet, dramatically accented with family heirloom brooches.  A kids table fully equipped with adorable pinwheels... And the list goes on.  In a serious way.

Please check out more of the details on Mark Hawkins blog post and stay tuned.  It's only May people.  We are just gearing up here at Buds n Bloom for what is sure to be a stunning summer.

Jessica & Kevin

This wedding was the trifecta of nature cooperating and offering up lusciously perfect blooms of coral peony, ranunculus, freesia and delicate maidenhair fern combined with Jessica's uniquely sweet vision for her wedding and, ofcourse, Erin Jean having captured it all so intimately as is her usual wonderful way.  Please please check out the blog post  featuring this lovely wedding.  Although, in honesty, these bouquets were even more beautiful in person (I know hard to believe, but true) when I looked at the pics online it was like flower porn.  Every picture is better than the next.

Thanks to the bride, mother nature and our very own hands this was sure to be one lovely day.

Pretty in Pink

On a perfect spring day, there was love...
And what better way to say spring love than with peonies, beautiful pink peonies.

Here at Buds n Bloom we can't think of a better way to start the spring and summer wedding season than with those lusciously sweet blooms.  The man upstairs certainly didn't save the best for last when it comes to the peony.  And I think we can all say thank god for that!

What!? Wheatgrass you say?

Yes, we are saying it from the mountain tops... well if there were really mountains in Wisconsin we'd be there, Sound of Music-style, singing out our love of the decorative and edible Wheatgrass, wishing all of you a happy and healthy Easter this year!
Doubling as both an eye-catching centerpeice and for those of you who are brave enough these will make your morning smoothies pack that extra punch of nutrition for the days following that indulgent Easter brunch, lunch and/or dinner.  Accented with the ever-charming billy balls, we are loving the simple, modern look for easter this year.

Peonies, Tulips, Peony Tulips Oh My!

Sometimes it's the simplest things in life that bring us the most joy.  I think that's true of these stunning orange peony tulips on the bulb.  Brought to us by our favorite local flower hawker Windswept Acres, these beauties we just couldn't resist.  Perfect for adding a touch of joy to an already joyous Easter weekend.
