Ashley & Kane
What a better place to have a beautiful Memorial Day wedding than at Heritage Hill, Green Bay's very own State Historical Park. Ashley and her new hubby, Kane, were a joy to work with, as well as all her bridesmaids who were so sweet they even tried lending a hand in setting up some of the ceremony flowers. Thanks girls, but leave the flower stained fingers to us. Keep those manicures looking good while carrying your lovely, textured and earthy bouquets. |
The bridesmaids carried Blue Curiosa Roses, scabiosa, stock, hydrangea, dusty miller, seeded eucalyptus and eucalyptus pods and aubergine dianthus (shhhh, thats the fancy name for carnations). The bridal bouquet featured a more simple mix of hydrangea, garden roses, peonies, freesia and fragrant gardenia blooms wrapped in heirloom hankies. Thanks to the punctual and hella talented peeps at Blue Dandelion Photography out of Madison we get these lovely pictures with an immediate sense of satisfaction. Lucky for us... and for you. Enjoy and stay awhile. |
Textured boutonnieres featured freesia, scabiosa pods, seeded eucalyptus and dusty miller. |
What's another word for textured loveliness? Mmmmm.... Pretty? Ok. |
Half of the centerpieces featured our black manzanita trees adorned with real crystal drops, hanging votives and hanging market bottles with aubergine carnations and stock. And look at that cake!

Courtney & Matt
When we think back on the stunning wedding of Courtney and Matt certain phrases come to mind like, "Life is in the details" and "It's the little things in life". In this case all the little things certainly added up into one BIG impact. No detail was missed. From lemon filled vases topped with a lush posie of hydrangea curly willow and oncidium orchids. Topiaries of echeveria, billy balls, moss and lemoncello spray roses. Hand etched votives by the mother of the bride. The bridal bouquet, dramatically accented with family heirloom brooches. A kids table fully equipped with adorable pinwheels... And the list goes on. In a serious way.
Please check out more of the details on Mark Hawkins blog post and stay tuned. It's only May people. We are just gearing up here at Buds n Bloom for what is sure to be a stunning summer.
Jessica & Kevin
This wedding was the trifecta of nature cooperating and offering up lusciously perfect blooms of coral peony, ranunculus, freesia and delicate maidenhair fern combined with Jessica's uniquely sweet vision for her wedding and, ofcourse, Erin Jean having captured it all so intimately as is her usual wonderful way. Please please check out the blog post featuring this lovely wedding. Although, in honesty, these bouquets were even more beautiful in person (I know hard to believe, but true) when I looked at the pics online it was like flower porn. Every picture is better than the next. |
Thanks to the bride, mother nature and our very own hands this was sure to be one lovely day. |
